The Doctor's Weight Loss Meal Program
If you’ve struggled with weight loss, dieting and exercising in the past, this is the right service for you.
The Doctor’s Kitchen Prescribed Weight Loss Meal Program is a doctor-prescribed weight loss program that drives better health. It’s designed to deliver sustainable results at a rate of progress that is observable but maintainable.
Who is the Doctor’s Kitchen right for?
The Doctor’s Kitchen is focused on preventative medicine. Our goal is to ensure that all people have the opportunity to get on top of their health and maintain a healthy weight before serious health problems set in later on in life.
Taking a proactive approach to your health can help you stay ahead of the curve. It means living a healthier and happier life and saving money, pain and disappointment dealing with serious medical conditions, such as heart disease, in the future.
What results can I expect?
Anticipated results are different for everyone. It depends entirely on the specific goals and outcomes that you discuss with your doctor. That’s how it works – prescribed plans are different for each person, just like a medical treatment regimen.
However, there are some goals that are similar across most weight loss meal plans. Body fat and visceral fat are firmly in the crosshairs. Removing excess subcutaneous fat helps with your health to a great extent and will improve your outward appearance. However, it’s visceral fat that is often considered the greatest risk to your health. This is the fat that sits in the abdominal cavity and surrounds your organs. Helping to reduce this fat can have a great impact on your overall health and go a long way towards reducing your risk for developing serious health concerns later in life.
What Food is in the Weight Loss Meals?
Our meals vary depending on the plan and the person. However, on average, you can expect 5 serves of grains and 6 serves of vegetables per day.
Are these meals just for weight loss?
The Doctor’s Kitchen has several different meal options. If you’re at a healthy and comfortable weight but would like to look into preventative health and ensure you’re eating right, get in touch with the Doctor’s Kitchen and see what they can do for you.
What’s so special about these meals?
Approximately, 63.4% of Australian adults are overweight or obese. That is nearly two thirds of the adult population. Less than 7% of Australians consume the recommended amount of vegetables.
We eat extremely poorly and too few people have the knowledge, ability or motivation to take action. So, this is where the Doctor’s Kitchen comes in. If you struggle to eat healthily, then this may be the perfect solution for you.
Do the Meal Plans have Cheat Days?
We strongly recommend you make a habit out of eating healthily every day. The Doctor’s weight loss program is designed to make it easy to stay to the schedule for the long term. As such, they only cover 5 days out of 7. The other two days of each week are up to you to take the lessons and habits you’ve formed during the week and apply it yourself.
How fast can you lose weight on this meal plan?
Healthy, sustainable weight loss is anything from 0.5kg to 1kg per week. This varies greatly with age, weight, gender, exercise and many other factors. Over the long term, following the meal plans reasonably strictly, you can expect to maintain a steady rate of weight loss until you reach your target weight.
Are the meals delivered?
All weight loss meals can be delivered directly to your door.
Where do I start?
To begin with, you’ll need to book a consultation with the doctor to determine the meal plan for your specific situation and develop some goals and targets for you to work towards.
