The Importance of Good Psychological Health

Good psychological health and a strong sense of self can play a significant role in how we handle the stresses of life and make important decisions. Throughout your life, you will likely encounter challenges and situations that test your self-esteem, stress management capabilities and capacity for resilience. When these times occur, it’s important that you have good psychological health or someone that you can lean on to help you through. This is the value of a good psychologist.

How to Find a Good Psychologist

Finding a good psychologist in Brisbane can be a challenge, but we’re here to help. Luckily, Carina Medical is home to the very talented Maria Rodrigues who has many years of experience assisting people through challenging times and developing strong psychological health.

When to see a Psychologist

It can be difficult to know when you need to reach out and get help. Many people leave it too long, needlessly struggling through challenges on their own. If you’re suffering from overwhelming feelings of stress and anxiety or aren’t sure how to respond to particular challenges in your life, a psychologist can help you assess things from a new perspective and develop a strategy to deal with the issues facing you.

There are some common triggers for when people usually see a psychologist:

  • Depression
  • Loss and Grief
  • Stress and Anxiety
  • Phobias and Fear
  • Relationship Issues
  • Unhealthy eating habits
  • Addictions
