About Dr Maja Fiser

Maja graduated medicine from the University of Queensland in 2012. She completed her training at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and the Royal Children’s Hospital.

Maja believes in a patient-centred approach and prioritises working with her patients to create holistic treatment plans that are specifically tailored to their needs. This passion for individualised holistic care led her to general practice, and she subsequently obtained fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP).

She has an interest in all aspects of general practice, with a special interest in women’s, children’s, and preventive health. She loves working with young families and has completed the Diploma of Child Health in 2017. She is accredited to provide GP shared care with Mater Mother’s Hospital and has completed Possums clinical masterclasses in breastfeeding, infant sleep, and perinatal mental health in 2024.

Maja believes that mental health is foundational to all other aspects of health, so she completed a course in Focussed Psychological Strategies through the RACGP in 2024.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her young family, travel, dance, and being outdoors.
