About Alana Battel

Alana is a warm open-minded Psychologist who embraces a person-centred therapeutic approach based on trust and respect. She supports adults experiencing anxiety and stress, depression, relationship struggles, grief and loss, career changes and other challenging life transitions. Alana has experience working with the veteran community, people from different cultural backgrounds and those with varying levels of abilities and/or disabilities. She also has extensive experience in organisational settings and the occupational rehabilitation field with a focus on supporting people with work-related injuries.

Alana tailors her therapeutic approach to each individual, drawing from a range of trauma-informed and evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Schema Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Emotion-focused Therapy, Attachment Theory, Motivational Interviewing and Positive Psychology.

Alana empowers people to live a meaningful and fulfilling life that aligns with their personal goals and values, integrating mind and body connection to promote health and wellbeing.

Alana graduated from the University of Queensland in 2021 with a Master of Organisational Psychology. Prior to that, Alana spent time studying and working abroad in clinical health roles and settings.
